The New Forest Primary School received an excellent report following an Ofsted inspection in December.

The report highlights the school’s remarkable progress and exceptional standards in key areas, reflecting the commitment of its staff, pupils, and wider community.

The report found the school to be 'good' across the board but also rated the area of Personal Development as 'outstanding', saying, "The school’s personal development offer is exceptional. It has carefully designed a programme that leaves nothing to chance."

On the quality of education, the report said, "The school has high expectations for pupils’ achievement and conduct. Pupils live up to these expectations. They are focused, attentive and try hard during learning time."

The report continued, "Pupils thrive in a welcoming and inclusive environment, forming strong relationships with staff and peers.

"High-quality texts and a robust phonics programme underpin a love for reading, ensuring all pupils, including those with special educational needs, receive the support they need."

Headteacher Caroline Whittaker expressed her pride, "This report is a testament to the dedication of our team and the hard work of our pupils. We are committed to nurturing every child’s potential and fostering a community where respect, curiosity, and achievement flourish."

Ian Tucker, CEO of the Magna Learning Partnership, echoed this sentiment, "The New Forest Church of England Primary School exemplifies our Trust’s mission to empower a future generation, deliver high-quality education and character development. We congratulate the team on this well-deserved recognition."

While celebrating these achievements, the school says it remains focused on addressing areas for improvement. Specifically, the report recommends enhancing assessment in certain curriculum subjects to ensure pupils consistently build a secure knowledge base.

As part of Magna Learning Partnership, the school continues to benefit from robust governance and collaborative support, driving further improvement and innovation.
