New owners have taken over the ownership of The Stones Hotel at Highpost between Salisbury and Amesbury.
Bowling Green Asset Management (BGAM) are the new owner of The Stones Hotel at High Post. Established in 2016, they describe themselves as one of the fastest-growing owner-operators in the UK.
They own several hotels around the UK, including the Holiday Inn at Solstice Park, Amesbury.
The new ownership was announced on November 21st on their Facebook page. The post said: "Expect lots of exciting changes in the future - with new beds already on the way after a re-shuffle in our public areas."
There have been some swift changes to both The Stones Hotel website stating the change of ownership, but also the removal of the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill.
The restaurant has also been removed from the Marco Pierre White website, which now states they no longer operate in that location.
This means that Marco Pierre White vouchers will no longer be valid at The Stones Hotel, their nearest location in Southampton but can also be used at any Black and White Hospitality or Marco Pierre White restaurants.
Nick Taplin, Chairman and CEO of Black & White Hospitality, said: “Our Salisbury restaurant opened during the pandemic and has traded very well since then.
“The Stones Hotel, which includes the Steakhouse restaurant, has now been sold to new owners who want to take it in a new, more focussed and limited-service direction as part of their own refurbishment plans. They have lots of exciting ideas for the ground floor space, and we wish them the very best in the future.
“For Black and White Hospitality, the core Steakhouse restaurant business and brand remains very strong and we’ve got a healthy pipeline of new enquiries and future openings already for 2023 and 2024, while the current franchised estate across the UK continues to trade well.”
BGAM who are the new owners of the Stones Hotel, have also been contacted for comment.
