Live orchestra performance of The Snowman returning to Salisbury

The Snowman with a special performance of Shaun the Sheep – The Flight Before Christmas, will open at Salisbury Cathedral on Monday, 19th December 2022, at 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm. Tickets are on sale now from £13.00.

The enchanting, animated film The Snowman will be accompanied by a live professional orchestra, creating the ideal Christmas treat for the whole family.

In partnership with award-winning animation studio Aardman once again, audiences can also enjoy The Flight Before Christmas, the sensational new Shaun the Sheep film staged for the first time with a live orchestra.

With musicians drawn from the UK's top orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic, Hallé, BBC Concert and BBC Symphony, families will be able to enjoy a Christmas classic in the stunning setting of Salisbury Cathedral that makes the most of this beautiful music.

The performances are produced by Carrot Productions, who are delighted to be able to celebrate local talent. They are offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for local children to audition to sing Walking in the Air with a professional orchestra. In Salisbury, the soloists are Theo Price, 12, Elliot Groillon, 12 and Faith Gregory, 13. They all attend the Cathedral School and are passionate about singing.
