Laverstock & Ford FC made it three league wins in a row on Saturday as they overcame a tough Baffins Milton Rovers away from home.
Lavvy have been on good form recently, with the only blot of their run being the FA Cup defeat to Gosport Borough.
Liam McConnell's side had to come from behind twice in the game, with Tommy Campbell Smith grabbing two second-half goals to turn things around.
Laverstock made the trip to Portsmouth to face a side who have made a good start to the season and sit inside the playoff places, and they fell behind early on as Baffins took the lead in the 12th minute through Miles Everett.
The Bulldogs had a chance to level things up on the half-hour when they were awarded a penalty. However, penalties are not a sure thing in the green and white hoops, and sure enough, the curse continued as Adam Bourner missed from 12 yards.
Only 6 minutes later, Laverstock were level. This time Lewis Wakeford made no mistake to level things up.
There was a sting in the tail at the end of the first half, though, and Baffins took advantage of some poor defending. It was Everett again who gave the home side the lead again and went in at the break 2-1 up.
Laverstock had been in the game all the way through and came out in the second half with purpose, but it took them 20 minutes to get their just rewards.
Tommy Campbell Smith grabbed two goals in 6 minutes, turning the game on its head.
Laverstock had to dig in, and some last-ditch blocks and challenges ensured all three points returned to The Dell.
We asked Laverstock boss Liam McConnell for his thoughts after the game:
Up next for Laverstock & Ford is a home fixture against Hythe & Dibden at The Dell on Tuesday (19th September), 7:45 pm kick-off.
