Last Friday (10th December 2021), Nole Pizza teamed up with QandR events, Black Hole Storage, and Marquise alloys to throw a pop-up pizza party for Salisbury Hospital staff.
Nole spent the afternoon in their wood-fired pizza trailer at the Stars Appeal HQ serving up 220 sourdough pizzas to over 800 Salisbury District Hospital staff.
Q&R Events created a space worthy of a celebration by providing a stretch tent and fairy lights, with Black Hole Storage and Marquise Alloys providing 800 soft drinks.
Speaking to Love Salisbury, Ethan Davids said, "Stars Appeal do a fantastic job and work tirelessly for the benefit of patients, their families, and staff at our local hospital.
"The Stars Appeal are our charity of choice when it comes to local causes. We have a wonderful relationship with both Gemma and Dave, and we do as much as we can when things are a little quiet in our pizza shops. So far this year, we have donated over 850 pizzas to Salisbury District Hospital staff through the Stars Appeal."
"In the scheme of things, pizza does nothing to alleviate the pressure piled on our NHS this year, but everyone loves the good stuff so if it puts a smile on the face of just one overworked doctor or nurse we're happy. Thanks to Ed (Q&R events), Mike (Marquise Alloys) and Leon (Black Hole Storage) for making Friday even better," added Ethan.
Gemma Heath, Events and Community Fundraiser for the Stars Appeal said, "We are passionate about supporting Salisbury Hospital’s hardworking NHS staff and are very proud to provide a range of support, wellbeing initiatives and morale boosting activities like this.
"Staff were so happy to receive the delicious pizzas, it really was a wonderful Christmas treat for Salisbury Hospital's heroes. We would like to say a huge thank you to Nole Pizza and the whole team whose generosity made this day possible."
