Chris Harwood is the candidate for the Climate Party in Salisbury for the General Election.
In his interview with Salisbury Radio, he spoke about the single issue that the Climate Party is standing on: net zero by 2030.
When asked what the priorities for Salisbury are, he said, "Well, I think if you don't make tackling climate change quickly, then it doesn't matter what your second and third are because that ain't going to happen because climate change will just undo them.
"After that. I think because the attempts to address climate change quickly will generate wealth. You've then got the money to tackle the other issues.
"Most of the problems of people saying the council aren't doing what they're supposed to be doing is because the council don't have enough money.
"We are not currently a rich nation. We have a huge amount, nearly as much as our what we produce in a year. And so, without generating the extra wealth, we can't get on with actually tackling these things.
"The NHS obviously needs tackling councils as I've said, everything then down to potholes."
