King Arthur Pendragon again stands as an independent candidate in Salisbury for the forthcoming general election.
A Salisbury resident, he believes that politics should be free of party politics and wants to see a change in society and the protection of Stonehenge.
He sees a big benefit to being an independent politician, "The reasons I'm standing in the first place is that I stand as an independent. And I believe by, for, and of the people as opposed to by, for, and of the party.
"The first time I ever stood, I stood in Aldershot, where I was living at the time, and even though I was a member of the Green Party, I refused to stand as a Green simply because I don't believe in party politics.
"So what I'm about to do is lead from the front, lead by example, and I'm saying if you don't like what's on offer, get out there and do it yourself. And that's exactly what I'm doing. I've always stood as an independent.
"You see, the thing is, they've all got some good ideas. They've all got some bad ideas. Now, you can't pick a mix, but I can, because only an independent, if elected to Westminster, can support a good idea wherever it comes from or oppose a bad one, Whichever side of the house, whichever party it comes from. That's the kind of politics I believe in.
"And that's what I believe. That's why I stand. I'm sworn as a senior Druid to fight for truth, for honour, and for justice."
