Salisbury and the rest of the nation entered a period of mourning yesterday (8th September 2022) after the death of Her Majesty the Queen was announced.
In light of the current situation and in respect of The Queen, some local events have been cancelled. They include:
Salisbury City Council's Dog Lovers Sunday on Sunday 11th September 2022.
Salisbury City Council's Car Boot Sale on Sunday 18th September 2022.
During this period of national mourning for Her Majesty The Queen, many Council meetings and events will be cancelled. This includes Street Sellers this Sunday and the Car Boot Sale on Sunday 18 September. The Charter Market will operate as normal.

Wiltshire Creative's Open Doors Event on Saturday 10th September 2022.
In response to the sad news that Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II has passed away, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Open Doors event on Saturday 10 September, out of respect.

All horse racing has been suspended at Salisbury Racecourse until the 11th of September.
As a mark of respect, the British Horseracing Authority has suspended all horse racing until further notice. Therefore our fixture scheduled for Friday 9th September will NOT be taking place.

As Salisbury Cathedral enters a period of mourning, tickets for the Sarum Lights event will no longer go on sale on Monday. Tickets will be release on a date to be confirmed.
