Family and Friends Honour Doreen Mann with 24-Hour Charity Stream for Stars Appeal

Four dedicated family members and close friends are coming together for a 24-hour charity livestream in memory of Doreen Mann, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who sadly passed away in 2024 after battling cancer.

The event, organised by her son Chris Martin, nephew Dan Willock, son-in-law Liam Tinne, and close family friend Keiren Baxter, aims to raise £1,000 for Stars Appeal, the official NHS charity for Salisbury District Hospital, in recognition of the incredible care Doreen received.

Doreen was cherished by so many, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her, even in the toughest times. To honour her memory and give back to the Stars Appeal, the team is putting together an action-packed live stream featuring video games, hilarious board games, darts, poker with a twist, and a series of challenges for reaching fundraising milestones.

“Our mum meant the world to us, and even in her hardest days, she always found a way to bring a smile to our faces,” said Chris Martin. “We wanted to do something big, something that would reflect her incredible spirit and give back to the people who took such good care of her.”

Throughout the stream, the team will take on various challenges as donation goals are met, including shaving their heads, enduring a sour challenge, waxing, and even getting a tattoo to commemorate the occasion. Viewers can tune in live, interact with the participants, and help drive donations towards their ambitious £1,000 goal.

The Stars Appeal plays a vital role in enhancing patient care and hospital facilities at Salisbury District Hospital, providing life-changing support for those undergoing treatment. Every donation made through this event will contribute to the incredible work they do for patients and their families.
