Salisbury FC have announced the signing of goalkeeper, Dan Lincoln.
Lincoln, 29, brings a huge amount of experience to the club with around 150 appearances at this level or above, having played and been promoted from the Vanarama National League South with Dorking Wanderers, for whom he made 56 appearances between 2021 and 2023.
The 'keeper has also played at this level or above for Hampton & Richmond, Braintree Town, Bognor Regis Town and Hayes and Yeading, amongst others.
Lincoln began his football career at Reading's academy and has also spent time at Arsenal.
An experienced sportsman, Lincoln has also played top-level cricket, representing Middlesex and Kent in the t20 Blast and County Championship, respectively.
On his arrival, Brian Dutton said of Lincoln, "We're really pleased to welcome Dan to the football club. He is a player with vast experience at this level and above. He is a player who has played and succeeded at the level above.
"He will bring a calming reassurance to this group, and we're really excited to get him started."
He made his first appearance for Salisbury in a training match against the club's development side.
Meanwhile, Ryan Gosney has moved on from the Ray Mac; Brian Dutton said of the keeper, "We as management team will be forever indebted to Ryan after his heroics from last season.
"Even though his tenure at Salisbury was short, he will go down in folklore amongst the fans. We wish him and his family the best of luck with their futures."
The club confirmed that James Hillson has left the club, Dutton added, "We'd like to thank James. It was a really difficult situation he came into and unfortunately it didn’t work out. I’m sure the experience will stand him in good stead for his long term future but for now we decided to go with someone more experienced at the level."
