Salisbury FC's debut London outing of the season ended in a stalemate against Hendon FC, as both sides battled to a goalless draw.
With just one change from their recent victory over Swindon Supermarine, Ryan Penny started instead of Theo Lewis, who took a seat on the bench.
Hendon FC made the stronger start, putting pressure on Salisbury.
In the 4th minute, Josh Gould was called into action, securing Niko Muir-Merchant's long-range strike.
Muir-Merchant's celebrations were short-lived, as his netted goal off a corner was flagged offside just 6 minutes later.
The visitors, Salisbury, gained some momentum as the first half went on, with Charlie Gunson's free-kick hitting the wall and being the first real threat to Hendon's goal.
As the game progressed, Salisbury found their footing, especially on the right side of the pitch.
Aaron Simpson and Josh Hedges set up Gunson, whose attempt was blocked for a corner.
The best chance of the half arrived for Salisbury, but Noah Coppin's header over the bar from a close-range cross left the scoreline untouched.
In stoppage time, Hendon's Shaun Lucien's long shot was met with a solid save from Gould, ensuring the first half remained scoreless.
The second half mirrored the first, with Hendon taking the initiative.
Muir-Merchant and Billy Leonard sent shots over the bar early on.
Gould thwarted Joe White's effort on the 54th minute, while Muir-Merchant found himself in a dangerous position but was again denied by Gould.
Salisbury struggled to make things tick going forwards until the 76th minute when substitute Dan Fitchett's left-footed shot was saved by Matt Kerbey.
Hendon persisted, and Aaron Simpson's last-ditch block on White's attempt on the 83rd minute kept the scoreline level.
In the dying moments, Salisbury had two opportunities to snatch a victory, with Kerbey denying Jamar Smith's close-range shot and Hedges' breakaway being blocked.
The game ended as a goalless draw, preserving both teams' unbeaten records.
Looking ahead, Salisbury return to the Ray Mac on Saturday, August 26th, hosting Hungerford Town at 3 pm.
