Drugs seized during warrants in Amesbury area

Two drugs warrants were conducted at houses in the Amesbury area this week with class A and B drugs seized.

The warrants were carried out at an address in Crescent Road and an address in Bulford Road during the morning of 25th January 2022.

Officers from Amesbury Neighbourhood Team in conjunction with Response Team 3, the Dog Section and specialist firearms officers executed the warrants due to concerns regarding misuse of drugs and suspected dealing from the properties.

One of the warrants resulted in a quantity of class A and class B drugs being seized as well as other items indicative of drug dealing being located.

Two people are currently under investigation in relation to the offence of possession with intent to supply (Class A and B) and will be interviewed at a later date.

Sgt Steve Jolly commented, “Our enquiries in relation to these warrants remain ongoing. I’d like to reassure any local residents who may have been concerned by the police presence in the area as a result of these warrants, that we take reports of drug supply seriously and will not tolerate drug dealing and any associated crime within our community."

If you suspect drug activity in your neighbourhood, please call 101. If a crime is in progress, call 999.
