Businesses across Wiltshire are being encouraged to sign up for a webinar to find out more about the Invest in Wiltshire grants.
The webinar, which is being held on Tuesday 11 July from 5-6pm, will enable business owners to find out more about the grant scheme, the eligibility for grants and how to apply – along with a question and answers session.
Invest in Wiltshire grants are available for businesses to improve or expand their operations and create employment opportunities. All applications must also help the business to decarbonise, for example, by reducing carbon-based energy usage or becoming more energy efficient.
The total funding available for Invest in Wiltshire grants is £1.35m. The funding has been provided with £350,000 through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and £750,000 via the Rural Prosperity Fund.
Cllr Richard Clewer, Leader of Wiltshire Council and Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: “Invest in Wiltshire is a great opportunity for businesses to grow and invest in their premises and workforces to create jobs and also reduce their carbon emissions.
“We’re hosting this webinar to clearly explain the application process and eligibility, and also enable business owners to ask questions they may have.
“I’d urge all businesses in Wiltshire that are looking to expand to sign up for this webinar to see how we can help them with much-needed grant funding.”
Invest in Wiltshire meets the council’s Business Plan objectives to have a thriving economy and to seek to make the whole of Wiltshire carbon neutral.
The grants are open for applications from Friday 30 June – Friday 22 September. To sign up for the webinar and to find out more about Invest in Wiltshire, people should go to www.wiltshire.gov.uk/invest-in-wiltshire.
