Boscombe Down Aviation Collection has been awarded a grant of up to £14,100
The Collection has been awarded the funding to ensure the survival and ongoing investment into the Collection which houses a number of exhibits of national importance.
This will also enable the team to continue to expand various displays and introduce a digital outreach strategy to keep the history of aviation in the Wessex Area at the forefront of people's minds.
Boscombe Down Aviation Collection Project Director Sqn Ldr John Sharpe said, "Boscombe Down Aviation Collection has received another very welcome grant from the Cultural Recovery Fund, this time for £14,100. This is excellent news as it provides a vital contribution towards our efforts to ensure the financial sustainability and therefore survival, of the Collection. Boscombe Down Aviation Collection already plays a major part in the aviation heritage world. Consequently, financial assistance at this very difficult time is essential if we are to ensure the availability of historic aviation artefacts for future generations."
