Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a disorder in Brown Street at around 7pm on Wednesday 15 September.
Members of the public reported seeing a group of people shouting and fighting, with one man suffering a cut to his head. He declined medical treatment.
A 32-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, interviewed and released under investigation while the police's enquiries continue.
Wiltshire Police are asking any witnesses, including anyone with dashcam footage of the incident, to call the Salisbury Area Community Policing Team on 101, quoting crime reference 54210090180.
