Officers are investigating a daylight burglary that occurred in Fovant.
The incident happened at approximately 3.30pm on 23rd April 2020 when a man in his 80s returned to his home in Moor Hill and found three men on the driveway who swiftly left the scene in a silver or grey Audi A4.
The men had broken into the house and stolen a rifle from a cabinet. This was later found by officers discarded within the property.
Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident was reported.
A spokesperson said, "We’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed the men in the area on April 23 or anyone who witnessed a silver or grey Audi travelling at speed into the village from the direction of Fovant during the afternoon of 23rd April 2020.
"It is possible that the men travelled into the Dorset or Avon & Somerset areas.
