Annual Garden Open returns to Hatch House

The annual Garden open at Hatch House is set to return on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th September.

Sir Henry and Lady Rumbold will once again host the hugely popular event, in support of Salisbury Hospice Charity.

Visitors can enjoy tea and cake, while admiring the glorious views across the Vale of Wardour, as well as a spot of bargain hunting at a variety of stalls including; books, jewellery, bric-a-brac, toys and face painting. Not forgetting Lady Rumbold and Mrs Vernon’s famous clothes stall, where you can find a variety of second hand, designer and vintage clothes at ultra-cheap prices.

The Garden Open has grown in popularity over the last ten years and now draws people from far and wide. Spend the afternoon in an idyllic setting, walking through the 17th century walled Dutch garden which faces the house’s theatrical façade.

In previous years, more than £12,000 had been raised for the hospice.

Salisbury Hospice Charity Told Love Salisbury that they would like to thank Lady Rumbold and Elspeth for the many hours they spend sourcing, sorting and organising the numerous items of clothes. Their wonderful team of “Hatch House” helpers who devote their time and energy and the fabulous Tisbury Fundraising Committee who work so hard to ensure this day is always such a resounding success.

Admission is £5 for adults and £1 for children.
