A charity gig is coming to Brown Street this Saturday

A host of Salisbury's top bands will take to the stage at Brown Street this weekend to raise money for Salisbury Hospice Charity.

Brown Street has teamed up with Salisbury Radio for the first time to bring you a night of live music for a good cause. The line-up includes:
Pugwall
Vatican Romp
Signature Vision
Gambling Hearts
Ribble
Becca Maule
And more TBC.

The event kicks off at 3pm and will keep you dancing until late (11pm). Salisbury Radio Breakfast show host Craig Hicks will be there as part of the event welcoming acts to the stage and proving the tunes between sets.

A donation entry of £5 is suggested on the door with all the proceeds going to Salisbury Hospice Charity.

Organiser Thom Belk told Love Salisbury, “We are very much looking forward to hosting Bash for Cash on Saturday for Salisbury Hospice Charity. It’s a charity that is very close to my heart after seeing first-hand the great work it carries out when my grandad was receiving treatment there six years ago.

“It costs approximately 2.4 million pounds a year to run the facility, and 45% of that is actually given by the NHS. Every year the hospice aims to raise around 1.5 million so although this event will only go a very small way to that total, it is not only about trying to raise some cash for a vital service but also trying to raise awareness of this brilliant and much-needed charity on our doorstep.

“This will be the first of many gigs in partnership with Salisbury Radio. It’s great to form a close relationship with the station and this will be the start of many exciting events going forward”.

Salisbury Radio Station Manager Craig Hicks said, “I am really excited about this because is my first time at Brown Street. This is a great event to bring some vibrancy to Saturday afternoons in Salisbury.

“Salisbury Radio is thrilled to be supporting Salisbury Hospice Charity in their 40th year, and I can’t wait to welcome some top local acts on stage”.
