Salisbury’s top scorer remains at the Ray Mac

Noah Coppin, last season’s top scorer and Player of the Season at Salisbury FC, has signed a new contract and will stay at the Ray Mac.

Coppin, who scored 26 goals for Salisbury last season, has signed a new deal to keep him at the club.

The forward was instrumental in helping The Whites secure promotion last season, scoring crucial penalties in both the playoff semi-final and final against Gosport Borough and AFC Totton, respectively.

Callum Hart is delighted with his renewed commitment to the club, with interest from other teams eyeing his talents. He said, “We’re absolutely delighted that Noah has agreed a new deal; after scoring 26 goals last season he was sought after by clubs with more financial power than us.

“It says a lot about Salisbury football club that he has chosen to stay with us, he’s a great character who is adored by the fans.

“He and his wonderful family have bought into the Salisbury culture, and it’s a testament to Noah that he wants to stay at Salisbury and keep learning from the manager and staff. We have no doubt whatsoever that he will carry his magnificent form from last season into step two football next season.”

He’s joined at the Ray Mac by new signing, Jordan Ragguette.

Ragguette joined Salisbury from AFC Totton, their playoff final opponents, and impressed many in that game. A versatile left-sided player who is a former St. Vincent and the Grenadines U21 international representing his country of birth, he played for Lewes and Gosport Borough before his time at Totton.

On completing the signing, Brian Dutton said, “I’m really pleased to have got Jordan over the line against fierce competition for his signature.

“I think he is a player with huge potential, having only spent two years learning his craft as a left-back. He fits the profile of our squad being young, fit and talented. I’m sure he will be a fans favourite next season.”
